A convert I am not a microwave person... as a private chef I rarely use them but I purchased this for the extra convection oven capacity and was happily surprised at what it has to offer. The fan is quite powerful (mine is not vented so very much needed as the previous GE didn't work at all). The defrost to cook feature is really a find. The trick to this appliance seems to be its multi use capability in such a compact space. You warm/cook in the convection oven or use it as a conventional microwave. I use it as an extra oven. The design is what sold me-- no handle to get in the way, sleek and can easily match other brands appliances. It's pricey but for a pro brand, I would say worth it.
