Mostly just fine First the pros: The refrigerator is huge, lots of storage partly because it does not have a bunch of room taken up by a water dispenser in the door. The ice maker in the freezer takes up a minimum amount of space. Both the freezer and the refrigerator part hold the temperature within 1 F degree and has nice controls. Shelves adjust with lots of choices for placement as do the door cubbies. The soft close drawers are a nice touch. The interior LED lighting is terrific. Now the cons: The unit is not as quiet as the 19 year old Sub Zero it has replaced. Seems as though they could have baffled or insulated the compressor and/or fan noise better, but it is something we can get used to. I installed the unit myself (with the help of a professional weight lifter, ha ha). The installation instructions specify a 41 inch long anti-tip board attached to the wall. I installed this board before the unit arrived to be ready to go. This unit has to be raised so that the top of the unit touches the anti-tip board. That part is fine. However, the unit needs to be bolted to the anti-tip board by accessing the provided bolts through the narrow and very deep portion of the compressor section. A long, long extension is needed to tighten the bolts. Herein is the catch. The installation instructions say the anti-tip board is to be 41 inches long. If you center the board in the rough opening left to right on the back wall, the left most bolt will not engage the board. Board is too short. What the heck!!! Wouldn't you think someone at Viking would have caught this error. The board should be perhaps 46 inches long to be correct considering that the unit is about 47 5/8 inches wide. Also, the water connection is quite close to the front of the bottom vanity grill requiring a rather tight bend in the 1/4 inch copper tubing to clear the grill. Easy to kink the tubing if not extremely careful. These are kind of picky criticisms, but for a high end unit, you would think it would be absolutely top notch with accurate installation instructions. I am kind of a handy guy, so I can deal with all of this, but I am not sure that a general installer would be so accurate with the installation.
