does what it is supposed to Our new house is not wired for an electric dryer so the Miele had to go to storage whilst I installed a new gas dryer. I wanted one that would look okay next to the Miele washer but not cost too much money because it may only be used for 2 years. I found this GE. It looks good with the clear door. I installed it easily albeit "dryer install kits" are expensive and contain a bunch of stuff you don't need. Instead, I bought only a 3/8 iron pipe elbow, a flare fitting and a flex line with 3/8 female flare on either end. All these pieces ran me about $15. Add $10 for a flex metal exhaust and I was good to go. I didn't hook up the steam as I don't know why we would use that feature. My wife says it dries fast. 2 weeks in we are very happy with the purchase.
