Perfect for my use First of all understand the difference between a vented and ventless dryer, and don't expect this washer/dryer combo to function as two separate conventional units. This GE concept is very common in Europe so it's what I am used to. I love the convenience and small footprint and how it operates. For me the trick is to not run the automatic cycle which goes straight to dryer mode. I turn dryer mode off. This way you can fill up the machine more for the wash cycle, and it will hold a good amount of clothing. For front loaders with a lot of movement in the drum, the fabrics rubbing together enhances the wash. The clothes have come out spanking clean, and though stains were gone. There is an option for an extra rinse cycle, but after using it a couple of times I discovered that it wasn't totally necessary for my use. I still prefer to hang dry a lot of my laundry; sheets outside because it smells so good :) and delicates etc. But if I want to use the dryer function on a rainy day, I start it separately after the wash and make sure the drum is only 1/2- 3/4 full depending on fabric thickness. It works beautifully, but yes takes longer than a vented machine. You cannot stop/open up the door during the dryer cycle as the door lock is on because the contents are really hot, so let it run it's course. Very happy with this purchase

It does what it can It washes all the clothes just fine, and tries pretty hard to dry them as best as possible. The clothes won’t come out dry, but hang em on a line for twenty minutes and they’ll be alright. It’s ok. Not what I’d buy if i had room for a washer and dryer, but its manageable.

Great small washer/dryer combo This machine is perfect for a small space that doesn't have a dryer vent. Works well, gets clothes clean, it's quiet. Doesn't hold a lot - think three shirts, three pants and some underwear in a load - and it does take a while ... but you can put laundry in and forget it; no moving from washer to dryer.
