The GE Top Control Dishwasher in Slate features the Steam PreWash system to loosen tough soils before any cycle, virtually eliminating the need for soaking or pre-rinsing dishes. It uses a 2-pump system of one pump for washing/rinsing and one powerful yet low-energy pump for removing soils - both of which give you excellent wash performance with reduced sound. It's equipped with a Piranha hard food disposer with removable filter and stainless steel blade that rotates at 3600 RPM to pulverize food particles and help prevent them from clogging the wash arms.
