GE CP9530SJSS Café Series 30" Electric Cooktop - Stainless Steel-on-Black

Easy to install and works well, very attractive! I took me about 3 hours to remove the previous unit, install, and wire the new unit. It's very attractive and intuitive to use.

I like the features it has. This unit was offered to me as a replacement for an old unit that could not be repaired. The only complaint I have so far is that it takes a lot of time to maintain after each use.

Love this cooktop! I have been using my GE Cafe Series cook top for two months now and I still LOVE it! I was heartbroken when my prior cook top I had used for 25 years went to appliance "heaven," but this one has stolen my heart! I did lots of research before finally deciding on this one. I absolutely love the "power boil" feature...it really cuts down on cooking time for pasta and potatoes. I have used the sync burner twice...both times with the grill top that came with the stove. I love the sync feature and it worked very well, but I was disappointed with the grill top. I am accustomed to cooking on non-stick cookware so the grill was a mess to clean up. I also really love that there are five burners and I have actually used all five at one time! It is nice to keep some things warm while actively cooking others. I also love the lock feature! It was a bit of a surprise the first time I tried to turn on the stove with the lock on and this would definitely come in handy with "littles." Because there are so many features on this cook top (varying sizes all in one burner and sync burners), I find myself paying extra attention to the dials to make sure I have chosen the correct setting/burner. I suppose that will get better with time. I love to cook on this cook top, but hate to clean it. Don't get me wrong...it cleans up well, but the black shows every smudge so extra effort is needed to make sure it smudge-free and dust-free. Overall, I would definitely buy again! Great job, GE!

very nice only used a few times but already like it. if i had to change anything, it would be to have a bit more space between the knobs and the pot or pan on the front burners.

Beautiful, Elegant Cook Top We settled on the Cafe line based on it's stunning beauty and it's full range of heating surfaces and controls. The top is glossy black, which while showing smudges, when clean it is stunning. The blue LED illuminated control knobs instantly show which burners are on. The cooktop has five burners, but it actually has 9 based on the selection of sizes that can be energized. It has a sync burner which controls the two left hand burners together enabling a large griddle to be heated. And, it has a very nice stainless steel clad aluminum griddle that perfectly fits the space of the two burners. It is also dead flat which works best with a radiant range. The central cook surface has three concentric sizes with a very large outer size for quickly heating large pots. Due to the heat output of this burner when all three rings are energized, you have to be very careful when simmering. We are quite happy with this purchase which replaced a 21 year old GE Profile radiant cook top.
