Very Effective! We were nervous about purchasing a downdraft, but we preferred to have windows to look out of rather than a range hood. After testing a downdraft by cooking a thick steak at a friend’s home, we decided to take the plunge, so to speak, and we have no regrets. We cook bacon, steaks, fried food and other things that create smoke or smells and this downdraft is truly effective as an exhaust system. FYI: The noise that it generates is the same as any hood we had in the past. We are very satisfied with our purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

SAVES SPACE! I love my downdraft. I was looking for a solution to save space in my new kitchen. An overhead hood didn't make sense because it would crowd up the kitchen, so this was the perfect choice! It works great so far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Review of downdraft We purchased this aprox. 2 years ago. We love the concept, appearance, and rapid clearance of steam or smoke. Filters are easy to remove and clean. All is quite sleek. However, it is a headache to close. Requires at least 4 attempts with every use to get the appliance to retract and then remain in the down position following use. Sleek and convenient We have this blower for our induction stove top which is located in our island. I like how convenient it is and that is disappears into the island so that it isn't an eye sore or taking up a bunch of room. It does a great job and have been very pleased with its performance. My only warning is to make sure when press the bottom to have it come up that the area around it is clear as there have been a few occasions that it has gone down and gets stuck on a cord or when coming up it has knocked something over.
