Cleans well, but otherwise disappointing Bought this based on Consumer Reports ratings. It cleans very well, and it's very quiet, but in most other respects it's disappointing. The racks are quite a bit smaller than the 12 year old Kitchen Aid it replaced. The silverware basket is MUCH smaller. That translates into fewer dishes that can be loaded, and the need to run it more frequently. To make matters worse, the arrangement of the angled (rather than straight up and down) tines makes loading large or odd shape items more difficult. In combination, the dishwasher holds considerably less than my old one. And the industrial designer who thought it would be cool to hide all the buttons and indicator lights should be sentenced to using this dishwasher daily for the rest of his life. There's no visible indication when the cycle is done, or where in the cycle it is. You can't stop a cycle without opening the door a bit, which increases the possibility of splashing water on the floor. The Kitchen Aid has a "clean" indicator light that stayed on until you reset it. The clean light on the Bosch goes out a few seconds after you open the door. Not a problem if you live alone, but if multiple people share the same dishes it's not always obvious whether the washer has been run or not. Just really poor design. If you want a Bosch, it's probably worth spending a little more to get one with an external display. Better yet, choose a brand that holds more dishes.

solid results for affordable price We have been without a dishwasher for three years. Our old dishwasher was pretty useless, so this seems like a dream come true. Dishes really don't need any pre-rinsing. They are fully cleaned every time. The washer runs smoothly and quietly. And the adjustable settings have allowed me to truly get spotless, dry dishes at the end of the cycle. Only critiques is the silverware holder is oddly arranged in my opinion, and you definitely have to read the directions numerous times to correctly adjust power, drying, and sanitation settings. They are not obvious.

Reliable so far We have been pleased so far on the performance of this machine which I purchased based on high review ratings. Was a little spendier than I’d like because nowadays it is cheaper to replace than repair. But it has a good track record and liked by CR. All is as promised and the clean is great. The test will be how long till something goes wrong...

Excellent dishwasher I bought this washer model based on the Consumer Report rating and I concur with their recommendation as the best machine in the $500-600 range. I have used it for over a week, 3 times already and my dishes , utensils, vita mix container, pots, pans and lids, etc. all came out clean & shine., and dried. I did not have to pre-scrub the dishes. I used Finish quantum detergent and its dry jet rinse aid as the manufacture suggests. I adjusted my rinse aid to level 2 as my house has hard water so that my plastic things do not show white residue of mineral on the surface.

Good value, wish controls were not on the top For the price this is a solid dishwasher. It does a good job, and is pretty quiet. The main negative is that the buttons and status indicator lights are on the top of the door, so are not visible when the door is closed. That means you do not visually know the status of the washer without opening the door and potentially interrupting a cycle.
