You really won't be disappointed
I'll start this review with stating up front I can be extremely difficult to get to commit to expensive purchases. With that said I did A LOT of research into washers and dryers. I bounced between the pros and cons of each major brand and each different model under each brand.
I tried to figure out why they decided to remove the agitator from top loaders! Big mistake! Huge! Why HE seemed like a great idea?!? I mean who doesn't love using 3 cups of water for an entire load of laundry! Why pedestals are so ridiculously expensive when honestly they really should be part of the package, or at least the machines should be a minimum 12" taller!
With that said I decided on the Samsung front loading washer. It offered plenty of options for most any washing situation. Unlike LG models the Samsungs also offer the ability to spin the clothes, should they have to much water left in them, WITHOUT adding more water! The lack of this option immediately removed all LG models!
The washer is easy to use. The controls are all pretty much self explanatory. It holds a lot of clothes to help cut down on the time it takes to do laundry.
My only real complaints, and the reason I only gave it 4 stars is that the price of pedestals, which I view as a mandatory item just to raise the machines a bit higher, are far too expensive! Also despite being completely level I frequently have to push the washer back into place as it likes to move a bit.

Steamy goodness that kills the cooties!
Shortly before our search began for a new washer and dryer to replace our 18-year-old Kenmore top loading washer and front-loading dryer, our youngest one started going to daycare and as you can imagine, just about every kind of cootie you could think of made its way to our home. After talking with some friends and a few neighbors about the washer and dryers they had, each one recommended this Samsung washer and dryer combo. This washer unit is spacious, can handle the cleaning of large comforters, and best of all, it has a sanitize and hot steam setting to kill the cooties and to get the dirt out of even the gentlest of fabrics. The pedestal, which is sold separately, is able to store some of the cleaners or detergents we use, however, it takes a little finagling to get the bottles to fit. A normal sized bottle of Tide will fit, but you have to tip the top of the bottle in first, then the bottom while closing the drawer. In all, this washer has been able to handle the cooties our young one brings home from daycare, the grime of a 7-year-old boy, the grime that daddy brings home from working on the farm, and the occasional drops of coffee that seem to make it onto my shirts.

Great Washer, Very Loud!
I have mixed feelings about this washer. I bought it to replace my 8-year old Samsung washer which broke. My old washer was the top of the line, with all of the bells and whistles, which, I realized, I never used, so we decided to buy a much cheaper model. I find that this one washes much better than my old washer - perhaps the rinsing is better, I do not know, but my clothes are cleaner, fresher and it takes less time. My only complaint is that this washer is extremely loud - like cannot hear the TV at full volume if the laundry room door is open loud. I did not see a decibels rating like on dishwashers, which I think would have been helpful. So, I would fully recommend this washer only if you have a separate laundry room away from your living space because if, say, you have one of those laundry closets in the hall, you would not be able to sleep or be comfortable with the noise. Otherwise, it is a fantastic washer.

Best washer for the best price
I have been using this washer (and the matching dryer) for the past five months, and I could not be happier with it! I got a really good price on it when it went on sale for black Friday at Best Buy. At the time, I did not find another single washing machine that offered as many features (the steam was a big seller for me) at such a good price. It almost seemed to good to be true, but it wasn't! My clothing comes out cleaner and more refreshed compared to the old top load machine that I had been using. The standard wash cycle is great, but the others are also very useful--I sanitized my dog's bedding after she was completely infested with ticks once, and I use the "extra soiled" and "extra rinse" options for when we come home covered in head to toe mud from ATV riding. I've had stains that were set into clothing months prior lift out of the fabric now that they've been washed on the steam cycle in this washer. Now, that's impressive!
Furthermore, it was easy to get this delivered and installed by BestBuy. I was building a house at the time, but they were able to schedule my install for months ahead of time so that it would arrive and be installed once the house was complete.

Great washer; great price
Got this to replace a 12 year old front load washer that died about a month ago.. It does a great job washing clothes. I don't think my husband's workout gear has ever been so clean. It's big enough for a king sized comforter (haven't tried it yet, but it's bigger than the old one which handled it just fine). It makes some odd thwacking noises when starting to spin, but is quieter than the old one was. The noises aren't really loud, they just worried me that it might not be properly balanced at first. I skipped the pedestal this time (storage is only marginally useful; I think the old one amplified the noise), so it is kind of low to pull clothes out of, but I also no longer feel the floor vibrating so much when it spins.
I opted for the Best Buy installation. They were great; even gave me time to clean where the old washer had been before bringing in the new one. The washer comes with it's own hoses (they don't all include them) which are rubber.
Downside - I'd prefer a little more flexibility in the temperature/speed settings. My old washer let me mix and match wash and rinse temps and speed settings. This one is a bit more restrictive, but I'm quite happy with it.
