washer works but it will not connect ThinQ The washer works fine. I like the cycle choices but its nothing special. The latch on the door now bounces the door back after only 4 months. This is if I just push it close but don't actually keep my hand on it all the way. It does close when I specifically push it close. However, the washer's modem needs a firmware update but you can't get it connected to the ThinQ app do complete it. The app just keeps saying that it doesn't see the modem. The dryer connected perfectly and updated itself. I have spent hours on this. This is a known problem by LG and their workaround doesn't work. There are complaints all over the internet about this one issue. Most people can't get it to work and state that LG's customer support is not helpful- they blame your modem or internet, etc.

1 year and absolutely no problems We bought our 1st house last year. After doing a LOT of research (highest rated set by an extremely reputable source) we picked this washer and its matching dryer from a big box store. We have had no problems and everything has worked as expected. As for some of the other comments: Yes, the cycles are long, but that's to be expected with a large capacity high-efficiency washer - low water use = longer cycle. Yes, there is no backlighting, but our laundry room is well lit, so I have no problems reading the controls. And it hasn't moved a bit since the day it was installed - no bouncing or rocking. It is very quiet and our clothes have come out clean and fresh. I haven't had any problems with the dreaded "front-load odors". Even after forgetting to remove a load (or two) and leaving them sitting overnight. And I love the tunes they play when they are done with a cycle. :-)

front loader is best Extremely happy with the new LG front load washer. But can't get cold water selection on cycle start. Looking forward to my next LG washer.

Good performance I bought this washer a couple of weeks ago and am pleased with its cleaning. It is fairly quiet, (not as quiet as the top load it replaced) and is vibration free. My only issue is that the printing on the options panel is medium gray on black background. The writing is ver hard to read without a flashlight. The instructions for the initial setup were difficult to follow.
