Haier HRQ16N3BGS 16.4 cu. ft. Quad French Door Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel

Great - But does not cool top shelf We purchased this refrigerator for a kitchen remodel. We needed an efficient refrigerator that fits our space. We love this refrigerator due to small size and quad design helps in organizing. Unfortunately the refrigerator section is not cooling properly (even after 2 replacements). The only problem is that we cannot get the top the top 2 shelves in the refrigerator section cold enough. My thermometer on the top shelf is constantly between 43-45 degrees F. this is too warn for any form of dairy (must be below 40). Every time i open the refrigerator I am disappointed with what I see. the freezer section is cold and the produce shelves in the refrigerator section are cold enough. But there is a design problem where the cold air is not flowing to the top of the refrigerator. I was able to install a small USB fan connected to a battery pack (lasts 8 hrs). By blowing air from the produce level up. I was able to get the top shelf to be around 41-43 degrees. But it's still not good enough. Thus I will need to return and get another model. I have had for over 1 month and do have some observations Pros 1. Perfect form factor - I can even change the freezer sections to be be refrigeration. 2. Quiet - I have an open kitchen facing a living space. cannot hear anything from this refrigerator 3. Look and feel - the design is great. the refrigerator is in the visible section of the refrigerator and everyone comments on how good it looks Cons 1. Poor design - as mentioned on the refrigerator section 2. Haier service - they outsource to a local company. the local company sent a tech that never worked on Haier wasting a day of time 3. Internal finishes - the shelving is a bit cheaper feel. but for a refrigerator in this price point i think its above average

I'm pleased There's only 2 reasons I'm giving this four stars and not five. The first being that the freezer only has drawers and no real shelving except the very very top which is clearly designed for ice trays. would be nice if one side was drawers and one side was shelving. there's no storage space on the doors of the freezer. That wasn't something I noticed originally but there's enough space for my needs so it doesn't bother me. The only other thing I don't like is that there is no light in the freezer. otherwise I'm very pleased with this purchase. I have a very small house and didn't want the fridge jutting out past the counter particularly because it is right by the entrance / front door. I paid for installation so I'm assuming they leveled it but from a side view it still looks like it's at an angle I don't know if that is Best buy not leveling it right or if that's really how it's supposed to look. I really like this fridge and I'm pleased with my purchase. I do wish however I'd waited a few extra weeks because the price was brought down $500 a few weeks after I bought it. It arrived with a scratch but they gave me a $126 gift certificate to make up for it. Since I bought it another customer asked if the freezer can even fit a full size frozen pizza. I haven't tried it yet but I think a full size one might fit angled on the very top shelf of the freezer if you don't have ice trays there. It's definitely not made to fit a bunch of full sized frozen pizzas for sure. keep in mind this is a unique, smaller depth fridge (counter depth). In the photo the handles to the doors look like they're an outset black plastic or something but in reality they're an inset handle (indents into the fridge rather than sticking out externally).

This was a nice surprise For years our family has avoided buying unknown brands for appliances. We have always bought from brands such as Whirpool, GE, Kenmore, and even Frigidaire. Yet, it seems the quality and reliable of the products have declined dramatic in these past years. Our prior refrigerator gave up on us within 5 years and even at that we already had if fixed thinking it would last longer. We came across this particular refrigerator as a recommendation, while looking at other refrigerator on the Best Buy website. At the time it was on sale for a very low price. After doing some research and reading reviews, it felt that it was a good buy. So far I am impressed with the quality and design of the product. The layout and sections, didn't sacrifice the space. It does give that luxe vibe without break the bank. I saw the price of it now and I was glad I bought it when it was first sold with a discount. Even with the sale price now, I still got it cheaper and have no regrets. Even at the current is still a good buy. If you are looking for a no frills four door fridge for a practical price. This would be the one.

Fits the need and the space We were replacing a 50 year old built in refrigerator, and the Haier was one of very few products on the market with an appropriate width, depth and height. None of the local appliance stores had this model on the floor, so we took the risk of buying based on the on-line description. We now have it for two days, and our initial impression is very favorable. The one weakness (so 4 stars and not 5) is that the shelving is relatively fixed, and certain things we generally buy (such as a 64 oz. bottle of juice) cannot fit. The problem is solved by buying 48 oz. bottles instead. There were a number of unusual issues in removing our old refrigerator, which triggered a lot of communication back and forth with Best Buy; the Geek Squad Customer Service people were first rate in being concerned, being helpful, and ultimately getting everything taken care of.

Great frig Love the quick cool and quick freeze features. Draws in freezer help organize foods but there is no space for storage of larger items in freezer.
