Product Overview

Diverse Wash Cycles and Options

  • From the Heavy cycle to the Speed 60 cycle, this dishwasher is prepared for every load.
  • Cycles include Heavy, Auto, Normal, Speed60® and Rinse
  • Options include Delay, Half Load, Sanitize and Extra Dry

Sanitize Option

  • By operating at a higher temperature, the sanitize option can be added to cycles to achieve the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards of cleanliness, eliminating 99.9% of bacteria, and enhancing your drying results as well.

Quietest Dishwasher Brand

  • With an ultra low sound level of 46 dB(A), this is one of the quietest dishwashers available on the market.

InfoLight® to Indicate Wash is On

  • Since Bosch dishwashers are so quiet, the InfoLight® feature projects a red light onto the floor during the wash cycle that turns off when dishes are ready.

RackMatic® System

  • The adjustable upper rack adjusts to two different heights and allows for up to 9 rack positions for ultimate loading flexibility.

Extra Dry Option

  • Used in combination with a wash cycle, the Extra Dry option raises the temperature and extends the drying time to further enhance drying results.

Half Load Option

  • This option dramatically reduces cycle time and water consumption when washing small, lightly soiled loads that fill half or less of the dishwasher's capacity.

24/7 Overflow Protection®

  • An overflow protection system senses leaks even if the dishwasher is turned off.
  • If water levels get too high, the dishwasher pumps water out of the tub and closes the water inlet, preventing costly floor damage.

Detergent Tray Optimizes Detergent Dissolving

  • Optimized for tablets, this tray holds detergent in place for a dedicated spray jet to directly dissolve tablet and minimize spraying the door (dishwasher also works with powder and gel).

24 Hour Delay Start Timer

  • Allows you to delay the start time of your dishwasher up to 24 hours.

Long Silverware Basket

  • Removable silverware basket can be placed anywhere in the dishwasher, offering the ultimate flexibility.

FIRST BOSCH APPLIANCE Excellent quality. Performs very well. You can shove in your greasy dishes and comes out immaculate by using the best setting. It also comes out dry except for the top of the mugs if the bottom is not shallow but you can just wipe it dry with a paper towel and you are good to go. The only downside is that it has some physical issue when it was delivered. There's a gap between the operation buttons and where it's placed/glued but when we checked it again at the best buy store, it seemed that it is built that way. That's the only reason why I have to rate it as good.

a small workhorse Dishwashers from 15 years ago had food grinders as part of the disposal process. Today's dishwashers have a removable filter designed such that you must reach into the bottom of the dishwasher and unscrew it, rinse, and replace. The Bosch is the only design which allows for a 2 second ease of performing this task including arrows to line up easily when finished. This dishwasher does not adequately dry plastics and items with a divot on the top side. However, I have not tried the 'extra dry' or 'sanitize' cycle options which might be necessary. I use the fast 60 cycle with excellent success. The controls are located inside the top most portion of the door so you turn on the panel, then select cycles and close. This dishwasher operates quietly so there is a red light which projects on your floor so you know the unit is operating. The interior is space efficient but the utensil tray is not practical. There are no allowances for lids or small items. There really is no good location for small casserole dishes or lunch containers. There is a top most rack designed for cutlery knives. There is a well designed top flap for keeping stemware safe. The rack prongs are nylon so they will not chip like plastic/vinyl coated wire prongs. The lower rack's wheels do not track well and are ridiculously inadequate but as long as you pull the rack forward slowly this should not be a problem.I did notice that Amazon has a wheel package replacement kit... I recycled the utensil basket from my 15 year old dishwasher with no compatibility issues. Even if you had a dishwasher previously, I recommend professional installers. My husband and I installed 2 dishwashers earlier this century with no problems. This one requires more skill to install than you would expect. After reading Consumer Reports, I felt this model should perform well for many years.

Not perfect but really, really good We chose this Bosch dishwasher because of the brand's high reliability (our last dishwasher's pump gave out after just 4 years). We chose this model because it was supposed to be super-quiet and because we liked having the handle for dish towels...not thinking that, of course, when you open the dishwasher, the towels touch the floor! Overall, we are very pleased with our dishwasher. It really is super-quiet--you do need that light on the floor to make sure it's running! It's noisier on the 60-minute mode, but even then it's quiet enough to have a conversation. Others have noted three problems with this dishwasher: dishes not getting dry, a beep on cycle completion that some find annoying, and a layout of tines that doesn't work well with today's big plates and bowls. For the first two complaints: Read the directions! The dishes will get dry if you use enough rinse aid. (Not sure why that is, but there you have it.) The card enclosed with the dishwasher explains how to adjust the amount dispensed. Start with the maximum amount, and your dishes will be dry. Then gradually dial back the amount dispensed to save on rinse aid while still getting the dishes dry. For the beep: Again read the directions! The card explains how to adjust or turn off the beep. The layout of the tines on the bottom rack IS annoying. Instead of one overall grid pattern, like most dishwashers have, the bottom rack has three separate sections of tines, each in a different grid pattern. None of them are big enough to hold today's oversizes dinner plates and pasta bowls without the dishware taking up space in an adjoining section. Large pasta bowls and baking dishes are a particular problem--most dishwashers have extra space around the perimeter for larger items, but not Bosch. One row of tines can be laid flat on each rack, but that doesn't really help. We are still playing around with how best to load it but starting to resign ourselves to simply running it a bit more often. If you think this might be a deal-breaker, take a couple of your large plates and bowls to the store and see how they would fit. Otherwise, we are completely satisfied with our dishwasher and recommend it highly.
